DISPEX CX 4204
DISPEX CX 4204
Dispex CX 4204 is a resin developed for water-borne paints, inks, adhesives, and ceramics, where resolubility of the system is of prime importance. Typical examples for such temporary systems are:
- artist paints
- adhesives for model construction
- water-removable paints and inks
- temporary binder for ceramic printing (before firing)
Applications for DISPEX CX 4204
Dispex® CX 4204 is a resin developed for temporary water-borne paints, inks, adhesives, and ceramics, where resolubility of the system is of prime importance.
The outstanding combination of good water-resolubility of heat- or air-dried systems and reasonable protection against natural humidity and perspiration is a result of the comparably low average molecular weight of the polymer chains in conjunction with their specific monomer composition.
However, Dispex® CX 4204 should not be used as a basis for any system, where long-term resistance is a prerequisite, unless overcoated.
For pigmented systems it is recommended to grind the pigments directly into the base resins. Dispex® CX 4204 has proven to provide good pigment dispersant properties.
