ACRONAL® 4700 is a low odour, APEO-free, all-acrylic copolymer dispersion for use in the production of exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS) cementitious and non-cementitious adhesives, base coats and textured top coats. Top coat finishes containing ACRONAL 4700 exhibit superior resistance to early rain events after application and when dried/cured have superior water resistance as well – as measured by water uptake and wet scrub methods. ACRONAL 4700 allows the manufacture of EIFS adhesives, base and top coats using one superior performance base polymer.

Cementitious base coats based on ACRONAL 4700 can be readily formulated to yield good pot life, adhesion to EPS and application characteristics. In textured top coats, ACRONAL 4700 exhibits excellent durability and low dirt pick-up tendency.

Although ACRONAL 4700 is protected from attack by microorganisms, preservatives must be added to the produced formulations in order to ensure that their quality remains unimpaired over long storage periods. Prior experiment is essential for checking their compatibility and efficiency.
