AQACell® HIDE 6299 na is a state of the art opaque polymer, designed to provide opacity and whiteness to paints in architectural coatings by extending and/or improving the efficiency of TiO2 without sacrificing interior or exterior coating properties.  AQACell HIDE 6299 na improves TiO2 spacing and scatters light, enabling formulators to reach the same level of opacity with less TiO2. By offsetting TiO2, AQACell HIDE 6299 delivers a lower total cost of formulation without compromising performance. Further savings can be gained by using it in conjunction with ACRONAL® PLUS 4670, BASF’s 100% acrylic latex with superior TiO2 efficiency.

Features & Benefits

  • Ability to reduce formulated cost by replacing up to 10%-15%* TiO2 and achieve equal hiding power
  • Spherical, low relative surface area leads to very low binder demand
  • More effective pigment spacing which leads to increased light scattering and TiO2 efficiency
  • Improved economics of paints while maintaining equal hiding power
  • Broad formulation latitude: Low to high PVC paints
  • Suitable for both interior and exterior paints
  • Lower carbon footprint compared to TiO2
  • Ammonia-free
  • APEO-free
  • Low odor

* Greater levels may be possible depending on formulating techniques
