ATTAGEL 30 is a medium-fine grind, cost-effective thickener for use in a wide variety of thickening applications. ATTAGEL 30 is typically used where particle size and residue are not critical or where superior mixing and dispersion is available.

ATTAGEL 30 is recommended for use in tape joint compounds where sag resistance on vertical surfaces is required. It is easy to incorporate and provides improved feathering and a very smooth and scratch-free surface for further painting.

ATTAGEL thickeners and suspending agents are made from specially processed attapulgite, a hydrated magnesium aluminosilicate and a principal member of the fuller’s earth family of clay minerals having the ideal formula: 3MgO – 1.5Al2O3 – 8SiO2 – 9H2O. Attapulgite occurs as tightly packed bundles of submicron particles whose lathe-like structure gives it unique colloidal and sorptive properties.
