CERECLOR Line – INEOS Inovyn
CERECLORâ„¢ is INEOS Inovyn’s line of mid-chain and long chain chlorinated paraffins. In CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers) and Polyurethane and Polyurea applications, chlorinated paraffins are used for their plasticizing and flame retardant properties. Â It is used as a secondary plasticiser without affecting physical characteristics of the product. Â It also imparts flame retardant properties, improves stain resistance and increases resistance to additive extraction from aqueous detergents.

In PVC formulations
- CERECLORâ„¢ is a cost effective replacement for other plasticisers used in PVC
- Used as a secondary plasticiser without affecting physical characteristics of the product.

In Paints
- As a plasticizer
- CERECLORâ„¢ chlorinated paraffin is insoluble in water and inert to most chemicals. These properties coupled with its extremely low volatility make CERECLORâ„¢ an excellent plasticizer.
- As a fire retardant additive
– Improves flame resistance by acting as a chlorine donor. - Commonly used in paints for industrial steelwork, marine ships/containers and masonry.
In Two-Pack Polysulphide Sealants
- Polysulphide sealants are classified as high performance sealants, with long life expectancy of > 20 years.
- Plasticising with CERECLORâ„¢ enables the production of sealants with excellent chemical and hydrolytic stability and reduces the cost by extending the polymer.
In Two-Pack Hydroxyl Terminated Polybutadiene Sealants
- Plasticizing with CERECLORâ„¢ offers high compatibility with low viscosity.
