Silicone-free defoamer for non-aqueous coatings, printing inks and especially for highly viscous coatings based on 2-pack epoxy, unsaturated polyester and PUR systems.

In paint systems difficult to defoam (e.g., PUR paints), EFKA® PB 2001 can be combined with additives improving leveling, e.g., EFKA® FL 3740 or EFKA® FL 3741.

• nitrocellulose lacquers, particularly those applied on curtain coaters
• 1- or 2-pack acid-curable wood coatings, particularly fast-drying ones applied on curtain coaters
• 2-pack PUR paints applied by spraying or brushing
• paints based on acrylic resins
• air-drying paints based on epoxy resins
• unsaturated polyester resins
