EFKA® SI 2008 is a de-aerating agent especially for medium- and long-oil alkyds, 2-pack epoxies, unsaturated polyester and PUR systems. It can be used in clear and pigmented coatings.

EFKA SI 2008 is a universal de-aerating agent for thick-layer systems such as industrial floors, casting and sealing compounds, unsaturated polyester resins, 2-pack epoxy and 2-pack PUR resins. It allows bubble-free films and surfaces even at film thicknesses of more than 1 mm. EFKA SI 2008 can also be used in thinner films and airless application. It does not affect the transparency of coatings and shows its advantages in clear coatings.

EFKA SI 2008 can be used in a broad variety of applications, ranging from OEM to UV. It has excellent compatibility, making it easy to incorporate into a solution and high performing in clear coats while still proving to be an efficient de-aerator.

Recommended concentrations

  • 0.3 – 1.0% on total formulation
