EPALLOY 7170 is a very low-viscosity, non-crystallizing modified bisphenol A resin that combines low hydrolyzable chlorides with a high degree of reactivity and good chemical resistance. It is compatible with all standard curatives and most resin systems and solvents.
EPALLOY® 7170 is excellent for 100% solids coatings and trowelable floorings requiring room-temperature cure and chemical resistance to concentrated acids and aggressive solvents. Its exceptionally low hydrolyzable chlorides make it the preferred material for electronic encapsulants and laminates. EPALLOY 7170 is an excellent base resin for low-VOC coatings with higher temperature and chemical resistance versus conventionally diluted resins. Cure speeds are also not reduced like typical low-viscosity bisphenol A resins or those modified with reactive diluents.
EPALLOY specialty epoxy resins deliver improved performance characteristics over standard resins, including chemical resistance, thermal performance, modulus, cure speed, and UV resistance than standard liquid epoxy resins.
