JONCRYL 611
JONCRYL 611
JONCRYL® 611 is a solid flake resin that is used for modification of solventborne alkyd and nitrocellulose coatings. It makes a low viscosity acrylic resin solution that can be used to lower the viscosity of solution-based air drying alkyds. As a modifier in an alkyd, JONCRYL 611 imparts snap-dry, lacquer dry characteristics and contributes acrylic properties to the finished coating.
In addition, JONCRYL 611 has shown excellent compatibility with a variety of other resins, including nitrocellulose. In solution, it reduces solvent demand in nitrocellulose coatings.
JONCRYL 611 is recommended for applications such as:
- Pigment dispersion applications
- Enhance lacquer dry characteristics for air drying alkyds
- Reduce solvent demand in nitrocellulose coatings
Features & Benefits
- Lowers viscosity/VOC
- Broad resin compatibility
- Imparts snap-dry characteristics
