LAROMER EA 9101 is an epoxy acrylate oligomer that shows exceptional pigment wetting properties due to its long hydrophobic soybean oil backbone. This key property makes it a versatile formulation component for all kinds of pigmented UV/EB lacquers and UV/EB inks, particularly offset ones.

LAROMER EA 9101 exhibits moderate cure speed due to its average double bond density, but is a good crosslinker due to its high functionality. The medium double bond density makes it a prime choice as flexibilizer for hard, rigid films as for example for those based on bisphenol A epoxy diacrylate. The high flexibility supports substrate wetting with good flow and levelling and improves adhesion on polar metal surfaces. LAROMER EA 9101 is compatible with all mono- and multifunctional monomers as well as with all common polyester acrylates, epoxy acrylates and urethane acrylates.

LAROMER EA 9101 is an important formulation component for UV/EB low migration inks and overprint varnishes due to its high molecular weight.
