LOXANOL® CA 5087 is a high performance, zero VOC, coalescing agent for waterborne coating applications. It is low HLB, low odor, nonionic coalescent which is compatible with a variety of resin systems. LOXANOL® CA 5087 has been shown to effectively reduce the minimum film formation temperature (MFFT) for coalescence while maintaining and, in many cases, improving the finished film characteristics. Both block resistance and open time performance are maintained, while scrub resistance is improved in many instances. It has been demonstrated that both low and/or zero VOC formulations are possible with this technology. LOXANOL® CA 5087 does not contribute to VOC emissions when tested as part of a representative paint formulation according to EPA Method 24.

LOXANOL® CA 5087 is free of alkylphenol ethoxylates.
