Starvis® S 3911 F is a polymer-based powder additive that stores part of the mixing water by means of reversible swelling, thus forming defined water reservoirs. The mechanism is stable towards salt ions and alkalinity. It acts as a rheology modifier and water reservoir for sag resistant mortars.

Starvis S 3911 F allows a significant increase of the water content without losing sag-resistance and without introducing stickiness or a strong retardation. It provides considerable improvement of pot life, open time, and degree of cement hydration for fast drying applications. Starvis S 3911 F also improves the yield of fresh mortar and flexibility of hardened mortar.

Starvis S 3911 F forms water-filled gel particles that introduce thickening without loss of workability or pumpability as water is released under pressure or shear. It takes up water again immediately after pressure release.
