STYROFAN® 2487 is used in the production of can sealants and general purpose adhesives.

STYROFAN® 2487 exhibits good chemical and mechanical stability. Adhesives based on STYROFAN® 2487 can be processed using standard latex compounding and application methods. It is recommended that a carefully selected preservative be added to adhesives containing STYROFAN® 2487 to protect from microbial attack.

Selection and suitability of such additives as well as overall formulation performance must be verified by prior experiment and trials.
