Translink 555
Translink 555
Translink® 555 kaolin is an ultra-fine particle-size calcined grade featuring very high brightness. It has been dehydroxylated by controlled treatment for the removal of crystalline-bound hydroxyl groups and to improve brightness. It is highly pulverized for better dispersion and is surface treated with an amino-functional additive.
This product acts as a higher performance reinforcing extender when compared to Translink 445. Translink 555 is designed to be compatible with polyamides, polyester epoxies, phenolics, and other polar polymers. Its low residue and finer particle size offer excellent impact strength in engineered polymers. It reduces water absorption, increases tensile and flexural strength, increases heat deformation temperature, and improves dimensional stability to a higher degree than the standard Translink 445 product.
Typical applications include Polyamides (6, 66 and blends), TPE / TPO, epoxy, and polyurethane coatings.
