ACRONAL 3633
ACRONAL 3633
ACRONAL® 3633 is an aqueous all-acrylic pressure sensitive dispersion designed for adhesives used to install luxury vinyl tile and plank. Adhesives manufactured with ACRONAL 3633 exhibit excellent peel and shear properties under high moisture and alkali conditions. Flooring adhesives formulated with ACRONAL 3633 also feature quick drying time, contributing to faster installation and reduced labor cost.
This product exhibits excellent drying behavior as compared to conventional water-based systems, allowing the production of articles with high coating weights. Excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates combined with high tack and good cohesion balance and excellent water resistance. It has also been found to be suitable for numerous demanding roll label type applications.

Performance Data
Fast Adhesive Dry Time
Flooring adhesives formulated with ARCRONAL 3633 exhibit impressive dry times for pressure sensitive adhesive installations. In a comparison to five commercial flooring adhesives, the formulation based on ARCONAL 3633 dried to be tacky without adhesive transfer 36% faster than the closest performing commercial adhesive in the study. This fast drying time provided by ACRONAL 3633 enables quicker, more efficient installation with reduced labor cost.
Moisture and Alkaline Resistance
ACRONAL 3633 has outstanding moisture and alkaline resistance. To demonstrate this, ACRONAL 3633 was compared to four other commercial polymers in head-to-head testing. A concrete substrate with vinyl-backed carpet tiles adhered on top was set into a water bath, allowing alkali moisture to push to the surface of the concrete and into the polymer. After 14 days the samples were evaluated for 90-degree peel and dynamic shear. These results were compared to samples not immersed in water. ACRONAL 3633 retained the greatest percentage of both peel and shear properties after the 14-day test. This performance demonstrates ACRONAL 3633’s exceptional ability to withstand very high relative humidity and high alkali conditions.
