LAROPAL A 101
LAROPAL A 101
LAROPAL® A 101 is an aldehyde resin for pigment dispersions. Because of its excellent solubility and compatibility, this product can be used in many types of coating formulations. Depending on the application, it improves gloss, hardness, body, adhesion, and resistance to yellowing. Due to its good pigment wetting and very low solution viscosity, LAROPAL A 101 can be used for the manufacture of pigment pastes with high pigment content.
This product is not soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and therefore, is suitable for coatings resistant to mineral oils. Because of its relatively low solvent retention, it only leads to a slight increase of the drying time of lacquer finishes (e.g. nitrocellulose).
LAROPAL A 101 is recommended for applications such as:
- Interior/exterior general industrial metal coating applications
- Automotive OEM applications
