TRANS-OXIDE Pigments
TRANS-OXIDE Pigments
TRANS-OXIDE Pigments are a range of red, yellow, and brown transparent iron oxide pigments that exhibit high transparency with excellent UV absorption properties. These pigments are used increasingly as substitutes for burnt umber, raw and burnt sienna pigments due to their consistency, high transparency, and natural earth color tones. TRANS-OXIDE® Pigments exhibit excellent color performance in both oil and water colors.
Coatings containing TRANS-OXIDE Pigments produce attractive gold and copper effects when applied over metal and can be used in both solvent and water-based resin systems. These pigments are suitable for food contact applications and are therefore used for both exterior and interior can coating systems.
The thermal stability of TRANS-OXIDE yellow pigments is 160°C, whereas TRANS-OXIDE red and brown pigments are stable to 300°C.
TRANS-OXIDE pigments are primarily used in wood coatings, automotive paints, industrial coatings, artist colors, and plastics applications.
