Avicor® 325 polymer emulsion is an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate-acrylic copolymer that is designed for use in formulating interior flat and semi-gloss paints. The combination of high molecular weight, hardness and flexibility produces paint films with excellent toughness, scrub resistance and durability.

Interior Paints

Formulated paints based on Avicor 325 polymer emulsion provide scrub resistance superior to most competitive vinyl acrylics. Interior paints based on Avicor 325 interior latex also yield high-quality colour and touch-up properties, and excellent colour development. When properly formulated into a semi-gloss interior paint, Avicor 325 polymer emulsion will give sharp gloss values with 60° gloss readings as high as 65. Although paints based on Avicor 325 latex have good flexibility, they also possess the required surface hardness to perform in semi-gloss applications without the use of modifying resins to harden the film.

Exterior Paints

Overall toughness, flexibility and water resistance combine to provide long and durable life for exterior paints based on Avicor 325 polymer emulsion. Tint retention and minimal chalking, with the proper pigmentation, are added features that accentuate the durability of Avicor 325 latex based paints. When applied to properly primed wood surfaces, Avicor 325 polymer emulsion produces paint films that with stand the normal expansion/contraction cycle without cracking or flaking. Avicor 325 polymer emulsion may also be used with good results in coatings for aged masonry and other alkaline surfaces.
